  1. It was a tough loss to the A's for Detroit and could prove to be a swaying factor for the future of the Tiger's season. The game opened with 3 up 3 down for Detroit 4 innings in a row followed up by an appalling performance by Verlander who allowed 16 runs to score and was relieved in the 7th. Verlander was relieved by a string of pitchers who stemmed the bleeding until the 8th inning where 6 runs we're scored off of 2 hr and a double. Well see if Detroit can recover from the worst loss in the history of the club.

  2. The first game of a 2 game series against the Rays ended in favor of the Detroit Tigers. The game was a shocking upset that will surely be on sports center later tonight. The rays opened with a double by Loney who was then batted in by zorbrist for an RBI. The Tigers came into the second inning with Chris Carter batting in his breakout season. Carter hit a homerun to even the game. The game was quite until the 6th inning where myers was batted in by maver to make the game 2-1 rays. The game was ended in the 8th and 9th innings by dingers by Peralta and Bourne leaving the final score 3-2.

  3. Tough loss to the rangers for the tigers in the second game of the series. The final scoreline was 6-8, but that doesnt tell you the story of the game. The first inning started withe the rangers hitting 3 for 3 and scoring all 3 runs by a double from davis. The second inning for the rangers brought in 2 more runs on a 2 run homer by Braun. The fourth inning braun hit another homerun putting the game at 6-0. The 5th inning the Tigers game back with 4 runs thanks to hits by everyone in the top of the lineup. The rangers came back with a 2 run homer by Gennet. The rangers went hitless the rest of the game and cabrera dropped a 1 run bomb in the 9th.

  4. Game 1 vs the rangers ended in a 7-4 victory for the tigers. Going into the game it was pretty much anyones guess who could win. Both teams were bottom of the division and had pretty depressing records. The game opened with a double by Johnny MR GQ Peralta. Infante batted in Peralta with a triple and was then scored by a double by superstar chirs carter. Second inning Bourne scored thanks to an rbi by Iannetta. 5th inning superstar Chris Carter hit a GRAND SLAM scoring 4 runs to put the game way out of reach of the rangers. The rangers tried to make a comeback in the 8th scoring 3 runs but couldnt make it.

  5. game 2 vs the rangers was a close game. The end result was a close win by the rangers. The first inning the tigers scored thanks to infante hitting a double. Infante was then hit in By Cabrera who got an rbi but ended up getting thrown out at home due to his speed. Cabrera is still the best hitter in baseball inspite of his lack of speed but he was thrown out at home twice this game which goes to show speed is a big factor. In the 7th inning the rangers walked 3 and gave martinez the opening to show his worth by scoring a run off a double, Cabrera was thrown out at home. The rangers hit a homerun in the 3rd and 9th inning scoring a total of 3 runs to tie the game. The game ended in the 10th with a 2 run homer by longoria. The tigers made an amazing effort in the 10th to try to even the score. Rookie mike carp hit a homerun to bring the tigers a run away from tying the game up.

  6. Finals game

The tigers final game was against the worst team in the national league the Indians. The game opened with Indians better Hosmer hitting a double and getting scored thanks to a double by cano. The game was quiet until the 4th inning when superstar Chris carter hit a three run homer to make the game 3-1. Chris cater has had a standout season and has hit a grandslam to win a game. Indians batter ramirez then stole every base and made the game 3-2 until tiers batter Omar infante hit a home run to end the game at 4-2 tigers.

  7. The Tigers win another victory in a close series against a heavily favored team. The game ended up being decided in the 9th inning by a game winning home run by chris carter. The first 2 innings were hitless for both teams until Mr GQ Johnny Peralta hit an RBI double to make the game 1-0. Then Chris carter dropped a bomb in the 4th to make the game 2-0. Later in the game Zobrist scored a run off of a sac fly to make the game 3-1. Going into the 9th the game was 3-1 until the Rays scored a run off of a solo home run by shane Victorino.

  8. The Tigers won a close game today against the Tampa bay Rays. The game ended up being sealed in the 9th by a solo shot by the tigers most costly player Michael bourne. The rays opened the game by scoring a run off of 2 doubles in a row, but the tigers came back with a booming homerun by Cabrera to crush the rays hopes of an easy game. Then in the 6th inning the rays scored a run to leave the game 2-1 until Peralta dropped a bomb in in the bottom of the 8th. The game was closed by a massive shot by Michael Bourne to ease the pain of the legendarily bad Scherzer bourne trade rape that had occurred earlier in the season.

    Score 3-2
    Winning pitcher Holand
    Losing pitcher Rivera
    Hr by Cabrera, Peralta, Bourne

  9. The Indians ended up losing the second game of the series to a far superior Detroit tigers. The final score ended up being 3-0 with the Indians getting almost no hits. The Indians only had 2 hits in the first 9 innings which many would say was due to karma from some bad trades they had taken part in. Max scherzer did his best to stem the bleeding for the indians but ended up giving up a walk off home run to Cabrera to score 3 runs in the 9th.

  10. The Indians bounced back in the second game, winning 6-0 thanks to a good performance by Ubaldo Jiminez who managed to hold the Detroit tigers to only a couple hits. In this game it really became apperant that the tigers had their money invested in cheap players with decent hitting and no money invested in masterful fielding. The grade of fielding 2 came back to haunt them in this blow out of a game but the tigers have seen worse like the 22-2 game against the A’s. This loss was only a drop in the bucket.

    Game 2:
WP: Jimenez (2-0)

HR: Jones 1 (1), Cano 2 (3)
RBI: Jones 3 (4), Cano 2 (6)

  11. The first game against the nationals became a struggle for the tigers due to poor hitting. In 8 innings the team got only 2 hits. The score was 0-0 going into the 8th inning and the tigers were looking to keep it that way. At this point in the game the tigers were holding the nationals thanks to great pitching and fielding. Blackmon started the inning off with a ground rule double deep into right field. The next batter, Ian Desmond, then proceeded to drill another double over Tori Hunter’s head. Zimmerman then walked setting up another great scoring opportunity. After Zimmerman was caught stealing, Span batted in Desomond with the third double of the inning. The score of 2-0 then held through the rest of the game and the Nationals took game one. The game was close until the bottom of the 8th when the nationals luck started showing leaving the game a 2-0 victory for the nats.

    WP: J. Zimmerman
    LP: Fister

    HR: none

  12. The second game of the series ended up being the low point of the season for the tigers. Paxton had an atrocious showing and allowed 5 runs in the 7th and 8th innings. The tigers hitting continued its series slump of only 2 hits in 7 innings. It was an embarrassing defeat for the tigers against the worst team in the American league. I hope there will be better showings in the future.

    WP: Strausburg
    LP: Paxton

HR: Blackmon, Desmond

  13. The tigers had another stunning win over the Rays this season as annibal sanchez pitched the best game of his life with a 9 inning no hitter. The tigers weren’t able to over come their terrible hitting slump but when you have a pitching staff as good as they do you only need Cabrera to deliver once a game. The rays pitcher burrnett also had a standout game until the 7th inning when he gave up the game winning dinger to omar infante to seal the victory and once again make the tigers a relevant team in baseball and magazines.

    DET vs. TB, Game 1:

  14. The second game of the series went badly for the tigers. The tigers are well know for winning one game out of every series. The tigers started off ok with an RBI double by Chris Carter to make the game 1-0. The game was silent for the tigers after that due to their endless hitting slump with no end in sight. The tigers lost it when Victorino hit a three run homer to make the game 3-1. Victorino has had an amazing record against the tigers and should have been walked but it would have cost the tigers the tying run. The final score was 4-1

  15. The last game of the season was a 1-0 win over the redsoxs for the tigers. This game was a pretty big upset but in the end it didn’t matter at all to either team. The redsoxs suffered from the tube of shame as many call it. The tube of shame is a new device that the tigers use in baseball to prevent cheating. The tube came into play after a crushing loss to the suspected cheaters the A’s. The score of the a/s game was 22-2 while the A’s scored 16 runs in the 9th inning. The A’s are now the world series champions but will forever be the cheaters of baseball. The tigers won the game thanks to a sac fly by Cabrera leaving the game 1-0

    Win: Anibal Sanchez

Loss: Jose Fernandez

    Save: Greg Holland
