Rangers Tigers
Game 1 - The Tigers strike early on two RBI hits in the first inning by Infante and Carter. Tigers score again in the second on an RBI single by Ianetta to knock in the speedy Michael Bourn and take a 3 to 0 lead. Rangers score 1 in the third on a solo shot by Daniel Murphy. Tigers than score three more on a three run bomb by Chris Carter.
Rangers get those three back on a home run by Nelson Cruz but it was not enough as the Tigers took game 1 7 to 4.
Game 2 - Tigers score first on an RBI double by Victor Martinez in the second inning. Rangers tie it up in the fourth on an RBI hit by Jed Gyorko who came in for an injured Elvis Andrus. Tigers score again in the seventh on a bases loaded walk by Neal Cotts to give them a 2 to 1 lead. With two outs in the top of the ninth, Nelson Cruz comes through with a solo shot to left field that tied the game back up at two. The game would go to extra innings when Longoria would hit a two run bomb in the top of the 11th which would be enough to give the Rangers a 4 to 3 win.
